Summer flies by way too fast, doesn’t it? Summer in the Seacoast is short, but sweet. So before we trade swimsuits for school supplies, make the most of these last sunny days with some classic Seacoast fun. Here are 10 family-friendly things to check off your end-of-summer bucket list!

1. Hit the Beach ποΈ
You can’t finish summer without at least one more beach day. Whether you love the busy boardwalk at Hampton Beach, the laid-back feel of Rye Beach, or the quieter sands of Seabrook Beach, the Seacoast has a beach for every mood. Don’t forget the snacks and sand toys!
2. Ice Cream Run π¦
Hot day? That’s what ice cream is for! Grab a cone at Memories Ice Cream in Kingston, swing by Izzy’s Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream in Portsmouth, or head to Lago’s Ice Cream in Rye for a big scoop of summer happiness.

Who’s the family champ? Put your skills to the test with a round of mini golf at Captain’s Cove Adventure Golf in Hampton or Hilltop Fun Center in Somersworth. It’s always a hit with kids (and secretly just as fun for grown-ups).
4. Splash & Play π¦
Let the kids burn off energy at a local playground or splash pad. Check out Aqua Land in Newmarket or Planet Playground in Exeter for some free fun in the sun.

Take a break from busy summer schedules and go for a walk. Explore trails at the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Greenland, or enjoy a shady stroll at the Urban Forestry Center in Portsmouth.
6. Lobster Roll Love π¦
Because nothing says “summer in New England” like a buttery lobster roll. Get this summer staple at Markey’s Lobster Pool or Brown’s Lobster Pound in Seabrook, or head to Petey’s Summertime Seafood in Rye for a roll with a view.
7. Outdoor Shows & Movies πΆπ¬
Catch some entertainment under the stars! The Prescott Park Arts Festival in Portsmouth has concerts and theater all summer long, and Hampton Beach offers family movies right on the sand.
Fit in one more warm evening in the Seacoast with an outdoor show or movie.
8. Garden Stroll πΈ
Slow things down with a walk through the colorful gardens at Prescott Park in Portsmouth, or explore the whimsical art and landscapes at Bedrock Gardens in Lee.
